Students confront a variety of socio-political issues related to death squads. In exploring these issues, students grapple with complex questions of human behavior and try to understand the underlying forces involved. They also learn to find information at various sources, and analyze, digest and synthesize the information for presentation. At the end of the lesson, students will be familiar with various manifestations of death squads, who the victims and perpetrators are, what social forces are involved in this struggle, and how international interests, particularly those of the USA, are affected.
